Simon's Workshop
Since 1989, ManageMen has been developing award-winning media for the cleaning industry. ISSA and ManageMen, Inc. won the first cleaning industry Telly for ISSA's "Carpet Care 101" training video. This exceptional video training tool showed a zany Professor of Carpetology, Professor Nap of Tufted Fiber University (TFU), use an incredible shrinking vacuum to miniaturize himself and fly into the fiber of a carpet to show the challenges of cleaning a three-dimensional surface. The ManageMen team created ISSA's EZ Trainer system including the popular EZ Trainer book and Jeopardy game was a highlight at every ISSA/Janitor University Train the Trainer class. We designed the corporate identity program design for The Shine Company which won an ADDY Award.
Most famously we designed the Simon Simplify program in 2004. Our Simon is becoming a recognizable icon in cleaning industry-training tools. Simon debuted in 2004 when he appeared on the cover of the Janitor University workbook. Later he was a big part of the transition of the "Janitor University Philosophy Goes Green" project. In 2005 Simon appeared looking into the future as the theme for the 2005 (OS1) Users Symposium; The Future of Cleaning." He also appeared in the NISH sponsored introduction to custodial management course they call Custodial University, he also appeared in ISSA's Show and Sell program.
