Janitor University Breaks Attendance Record

Janitor University Class 55 was the largest group ever. Not only were they the biggest class, they also experienced the full leadership course that has been in development since the first class of 2008.

The large class also participated in several firsts. Most prominent was a copy of newest and smallest daily newspaper in the world. JU Today made its debut Monday, September 29th and was delievered to each class member each day of class. The newspaper is chock full of information about the class, cleaning, the curriculum and travel facts to assist the group during their stay in Salt Lake City. Jill Melton is the editor of JU Today and it was a hit from the very first day.

Another innovation was a new format to introduce workloading to the group. Based on the new (OS1) PinPoint program, the class explored the steps nessesary to balance workloads. Tim Poskin led the group in an interactive exercise on the challenges of workloading a cleaning organization.
